History of the Payday Loan Industry
Are you seeking a Payday Loan? Have you ever wondered how the industry was created and the history of the industry as a whole? Getting small loans has always been a necessity of our society, because bad things happen at times when we haven't planned for them. For example, if you drive a car and you just paid all your bills, and you only have $5 cash to last till next payday. You probably didn't plan that you would find it was unable to start the next morning and what you would need to do to get it running again. You would need a short quick loan to pay for that expense. After doing a lot of research I've come to the conclusion that although Payday Loans can be bad because there high interest rates, you would probably end up paying more if you used other forms of paying for that debt, such as a credit card, that would take months to pay down after your emergency.
Payday loans specifically haven't been around that long. At least the specific term known as Payday Cash Advance Loans, which by definition is a short term, high interest loan. Usually the payday loan will come with a lot of additional fees in addition to the interest collected on the loan.
Currently at the time of this writing, the State of Georgia is the only state that strictly prohibits Payday Loan Lenders, however I wouldn't say it prevents Payday Lenders, it just requires payday lenders to register with the Georgia government and can only charge a limited interest rate or face a very hefty penalty. The future of the Payday Loan industry is going to probably follow more and more closely to the laws that are slowly being created in each state. There will be laws preventing the high interest rates, but probably more than that, there will be more and more laws created by states that have no legislation preventing payday loans currently to limit the amounts that payday loan lenders can collect through fees and chargers. States will take the side of the borrower and slowly over the next 25 years protect the consumer against ridiculous operating procedures by the lending companies.
